• Logistics Committee Commends the Public Transport Regulation and Workshop Output (Zawil)

    ​The Logistics Committee at Asharqia Chamber praised the results of the workshop that was organized by the Chamber- represented by the Committee- recently to discuss the electronic portal of the services of the Border Guard (Zawil).

    The members of the Committee stressed the importance of these meetings in explaining the electronic services that facilitate the mechanism of work in the sector. They emphasized the keenness of the General Command of the Border Guard to respond to and cooperate in organizing this workshop.

     

    Bandar Rafi al-Jabri chaired the committee's meeting on Sunday July 14, 2018, and explained that the meeting had reviewed the new public transport regulation, which is a qualitative leap in the logistics sector.

    He expressed the hope that this regulation will contribute to the development of the sector, as it is important for the national economy.

     

    On the other hand, the Committee expressed great interaction with the recommendation of the Emirate of the Eastern Region on supporting the Saudi drivers, as it expressed its readiness to do everything that would support the Saudi drivers.

     

    The members of the Committee welcomed the cooperation of the Customs Department at King Abdul Aziz Port in Dammam, where they met recently with the Director General of the Department, Mohammed Hammam, and reviewed the most prominent initiatives that the sector is proposing to promote its work. He showed interaction and responsiveness to those initiatives.

     

    During the meeting, the Committee heard the reports of the task forces emanating from the Committee, and the resulting meetings as well as the recommendations of the teams.​
